We have had great success in doing our own bookings for flights, hotels, cruises and excursions on line.  On our recent trip to
Australia we booked our flights through Travelocity on Qantas air line, checking dates and fares.  We also booked our travel
visas required for entry into Australia.  Hotel in Cairns and Coobulture and the Captain Cook Cruise were  booked on the web,
with great credit for the quick responses and personal attention to our requests and questions.
We were able to take advantage of a five hour layover in Sydney by booking a car with a driver ahead of our arrival.  We were
met by Paul with a sign at the other side of customs.  We loaded our luggage, golf clubs included, into a new van and enjoyed
a three hour tour touching on many of the Sidney Sights.  We found this reasonable limo service by searching on Google for a
car and driver in Sydney.
We also want to thank and credit our friend Margaret, in Australia, for her wonderful suggestions, brochures, and  all her
personal attention to make a truly great holiday for us.

The New Driver "L"
in Ireland
If you might be as nervous as I was about driving on the "other"
side of the road, like Ireland and Australia, check on the "new
driver" symbols provided in convenient stores.  Ireland has a
big red letter L.  In Australia we found a magnetic yellow letter L
on a black background.  I found people went out of their way to
give me room on the road.
