And here are the main characters who make every day a good day.
This is Brownie, who won't talk about his age
or weight, but still manages to retrieve the
paper every morning. That's his job.   He gets
a little help from John with the large Sunday
paper.  The old boy can't  hear anymore, and
the trips to the beach are difficult, so a good
part of his day is sleeping and, as always,
being the best companion a family ever had.
This is Annie.  Little Orphan Annie,
Our rescue dog.  She was found in the
center of a highway, scared, and
alone.  She hasn't been alone since.
She has become Brownie's hearing
dog.  She is his ears, and lets him
know whats going on. All 10 pounds of
Annie wiggle with great enthusiasm for
everything.
And then there is The Cat.  Into everything, She
helps John with his correspondence and bill
paying.  She is a house cat who keeps a keen
lookout for neighborhood activities.  She has us
well trained, and  keeps us on her schedule

After 15 1/2 wonderful years We
lost Brownie Nov. 5, 2006.
Thank you Brownie, you have
shown us how to love endlessly.

John will have to do a good job
getting the paper now, we know
Brownie will be watching.
Introducing for the first time,  Elena,
Fiona's baby sister who arrived Sept
27th 200

Madisyn with "The Boys"
Joe and Jerry.  After our loss of
Brownie we searched the Golden
Retriever Rescue site and found
not one, but two. Litter brothers
who would only be adopted as a
set.  How lucky we are.  And the
house has the golden glow again.
